Services held for Nancy A. Rogers Thurs., Dec. 27th
NANCY ANN HALL was born on October 30, 1877, in Montgomery county, Illinois to George and Elizabeth Hall. She came to Richardson county, Nebraska, in 1878 with her parents and in the fall of 1884 to Frontier county where she grew to womanhood on their homestead.
She was a graduate of high school in Cambridge, Nebraska and taught in the rural schools for three years.
On February 19, 1902, she was united in marriage to Harvey Orlando Rogers at Elwood, Nebraska, to this union were born one daughter and two sons.
In 1910 she moved to Yuma, Colorado, where she resided until 1917 when the family returned and purchased her father-in-law’s homestead.
She made a large acquainenance during the many years she lived in the vicinity of Orafino, Nebraska.
After her husband’s death on January 22, 1949, she remained on the farm until October, 1958, when she moved to Eustis, Nebr. In July, 1962, due to ill health she made her home at the Krauss Rest Home in Cambridge where on December 23, 1962, she departed this life at the age of 85 years, one month and 23 days.
Mrs. Rogers was a good neighbor, and had the best interest of her family at heart. She took a great deal of interest in community affairs, one being the Orafino Community Club of which she was a member for many years.
She leaves to mourn her passing, a daughter, Mrs. Leila Hoy of Denver, Colorado, two sons, Paul and Everett of Cambridge, Nebr., a grandson, Ronald Hoy of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Frank Hall of Caldwell, Idaho, a sister, Mrs. Grace Harvey of Haigler, Nebraska, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Simeon Hall of Cozad, Nebraska and Roy Hall of Greeley, Colorado. Also preceding her in death were a sister and three brothers in infancy.
