Bert H. Howat passed away Staurday, August 4, at the age of 62 years. Services were Tuesday, August 7 at the McVay Memorial Chapel. Rev. L. Robert Holbrook officiated. Interment was in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.

Bert Henry Howat was born at Hastings, Nebr., on Dec. 23, 1916, to Elmer and Millie Howat. He farmed during the years, and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 64 in Gothenburg. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two brothers, Adam Howat of North Platte and Nick Howat of Lancaster, Calif.
