Jesse Phillips

DICKENS — Jesse Phillips, 80, died early Saturday morning at the home of his daughter in Maxwell.

Born March 1, 1892 in Humboldt, he had been a resident of Dickens for the past 42 years.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Ed Sullivan, Maxwell; Mrs. Richard Ludden, Chino, Calif.; sons, Claire, Wichita, Kan.; Harold, North Platte; a brother, Chester, Haxtun, Colo.; sisters, Mrs. Alice Fitch, Dickens; Mrs. Bernice Jones, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Lillie McIntyre, Edmonds, Wash.; Mrs. Goldie Decker, Haxtun, Colo.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Dickens First Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Dickens Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Williams, pastor of the North Platte First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Dickens cemetery. Maloney, Cox and Kuhns Funeral Home is in charge.
