Mrs. Phronia Williams
Dies Early Today

Mrs. Phronia Alice Williams, who came to Corvallis a year ago to make her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Stinnette, died at the family home, 402 North 18th street at 3:45 this morning. She had been in failing health for the past two years having suffered several heart attacks.

Phronia Alice Putnam was born in Iowa, January 27, 1869. Following her marriage to Fred E. Williams, the young couple moved to Farnam, Nebraska, where she lived until she came to Corvallis. She had 12 children, eight of whom survive. They are Mrs. Myrtle Stinnette, Corvallis; Mrs. Mary A. Kitchen, Los Angeles; Harry E. Williams, Klamath Falls; Cecil H. Williams, Los Angeles; Hollie S. Williams, Farnam, Nebraska; Rowland Williams, Gothenburg, Nebraska; and Herbert L. Williams, Cozad, Nebraska. She is also survived by two brothers, J. C. Putnam, Seymour, Iowa; Willard Putnam, Ottawa, Iowa.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Methodist church of Farnam, Nebraska, and of East Rebekah Lodge No. 175 of that city.

The remains are at the Keeney funeral home and plans for the funeral service will be announced later.
