Mrs. E. L. Stevens Dies

Mrs. E. L. Stevens, who has been in failing health the past yaer, and continued to grow worse in spite of medical treatment and care, died at the family home north of Ingham last Thursday morning.

Obituary

Lillian Margaret Hunt Stevens was born at Wayland, Iowa, September 21, 1892, and departed this life at Ingham, Nebraska July 21, 1949.

She was united in marriage to Everett Lee Stevens March 12, 1921. To this union 3 children were born, Mrs. Charles Bowen of Key West, Florida, Kenneth of Ingham and Mrs. Robert High of Bertrand.

She became a Christian early in life and was loved by all those who knew her in the community in which she has lived for the past fifteen years. She was an active member of the Ingham Methodist church and filled the post of secretary-treasurer for WSCS for a number of years.

She leaves to mourn her loss, in addition to her husband and three children, one grandson, David Bowen; two sisters, Mrs. Stuart Lyle and Mrs. Betty Hunter of Denver; [three brothers,] Dean Hunt of Long Beach, Calif., Walter Hunt and William Hunt of Olympia, Washington.

Funeral services were held at the Farnam Methodist church Saturday morning, with Rev. L. D. Compton officiating, after which the body was taken to York in the Olesen mortuary funeral car for burial.

Pallbearers were Fred Rowland, Fred Cross, Herman Thomsen, Fred Sands, Albert Smallfoot and Martin Krone. Singing by Miss Delores Corss and Mrs. Anton Kotschwar with Mrs. Fred Rowland as pianist.
