GOTHENBURG — Everett L. Stevens, 78, died Friday in a Gothenburg nursing home. He was born Nov. 21, 1893, at York.

Survivors include his widow Avis of Brady; two daughters, Gwen Bowen of Sunnyvale, Calif., Dorothy High of Kearney; one son, Kenneth of Farnam; one stepdaughter, Ethel Wagner of Emporia, Kan.; one sister, Vira Preiss of Rochester, N.Y.; one brother, Shelvy of Omaha and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the McVay Chapel at Gothenburg with the Rev. Clayton Berkeypile officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at York.
