Mildred Corinne Tillotson, 91, of Farnam, Nebraska, died May 31, 2024 at her home in Farnam, NE.

Mildred was born on August 13, 1932 in Farnam, NE to Roland and Stella (Adkisson) Lehman.

Mildred’s journey was one defined by compassion, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and community. As a farmwife and housewife, she dedicated herself to nurturing her family and tending to the land with grace and resilience. Her spirit of generosity knew no bounds as she touched the lives of many through her acts of kindness.

Mildred’s remarkable life was adorned with various roles within her community - from serving on the Founder’s Day Committee to being an active member of the Sunshine Club, Monday Night Kids and United Methodist Women. Her involvement as a Scout Leader and contributions to the Farnam School Guidance club committee exemplified her commitment to nurturing the younger generations.

A woman of deep faith, Mildred found solace in collecting Angels and was a pillar of strength within the Methodist Church. She found joy in simple pleasures like shopping for loved ones, savoring delightful desserts, immersing herself in books, and surrounding herself with beloved cats.

Mildred’s adoration for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no limits, cherishing every moment spent with them. Her presence brought warmth and comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Raymond Tillotson of Farnam; their daughter Brenda (Randy) Edson from Farnam; sons Greg (Kaye) Tillotson of Omaha; Gene (Tammy) Tillotson of Kearney; nine grandchildren Sydney (Sam) Tillotson-Sehi, Colin Tillotson, James Tillotson, Ryan Tillotson all of Omaha, Crystal (Blane) Widick of Holdrege; Corey (Kim) Edson of Fort Pierre, SD, Corrine (Rick) Muenchau of Springfield, OH; Wesley (Jacey) Edson of Johnson Lake, and Brittany (Tregg) Reiss of Kearney; 12 great grandchildren, Brennan, Hunter, Christophe, and Darianna Taylor, Ryleigh Widick, Gunner, Ryker and Beckett Edson, Dalton and Kreaton Muenchau, Finnegan and Oliver Edson, and Teagan Reiss.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gary Lee Tillotson, daughter, Coleen Kay Tillotson and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm with the family present from 4:00-6:00 pm.

Burial will follow in the Farnam Cemetery, Farnam, NE.

Memorials may be given to the Farnam Fire and Rescue, Eustis Fire and Rescue or the Farnam Methodist Church.
