Funeral services for Roy Boyle of Powell will be held today (Thursday) at the Methodist Church at 11a.m. with the Rev. Jarrell Tharp officiating.

The 88-year-old retired Powell farmer died Thuesday May 9 in the Powell Nursing Home where he had been residing for the past six months. He was born April 27, 1886 in Nebraska the son of Albert and Mary Boyle. On Oct. 21, 1908, he married Nellie V. Hunt in Farnam, Nebr. They moved to Powell in 1937 where Mr. Boyle was engaged in farming until his retirement.

He was a member of the I00F Lodge of Powell and the Methodist Church.

Survivors include seven sons, Albert J. Boyle of Powell; Ernie Boyle of Casper; Gene Boyle of Artesia, Calif.; Raymond Boyle of San Bernadino, Calif.; Frank Boyle of Diamond Springs, Calif.; and Cecil Boyle and Lawrence Boyle both of Utah.

Two daughters also survive, Mrs. Mary Malliot of Powell and Mrs. Edith Scrutchfield of Cozad, Nebr.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery with Easton's Funeral Home in Charge.
