Arthur Raymond Hall, age 98, died May 7, 2009. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel. Reverend Ralph Lawrence will be officiating. A private family burial will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery.

Arthur was born Jan. 20, 1911 in Hastings, Neb. to William and Hilda Hall. He later moved with his family to the Nampa Valley in 1929 and later to Boise. He married Florance Hawkins in June, 1937. They were blessed with one daughter Donna born on February 6, 1940.

They moved to Boise in 1950 working for local contractors, was appointed Secretary & Business Manager for the Building Trades Council for eight and half years. He later went back into the building business which was his first love. He built several homes for his family.

He retired in 1978. He and Florance enjoyed cruises and tours and they spent several winters in Arizonae. He was a member of the Whitney United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife and best friend of 72 years, a daughter Donna and son-in-law Gary Craig of Spanaway, Wash.; two granddaughters, Connie Smith of Buckley, Wash., Kelli and husband Jeff Cronn of Kent, Wash.; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the care given by Dr. Fred Fender and staff, Capitol Care Center and also Four Rivers Hospice.
