Leila Florence (Siemiller) Schroeder
Leila F. Schroeder, 78, formerly of Farnam, died 7 July 1993, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
She was born April 30, 1915 to Israel Roscoe and Evaline (Earl) Siemiller at Farnam where she grew up.
After graduating from Farnam High School in 1936, she did housework and sewing for families in the Farnam and Gothenburg areas.
She married William Schroeder in Kansas. They farmed and ranched near Ingham and Mrs. Schroeder had an egg route.
In November 1992, she moved to Brady to live near a niece.
Survivors include two brothers, Dean Siemiller of Leadville, Colorado, and Ken Siemiller of Idaho; two sisters, Emma Gordy of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and Elsie Siemiller of Chico, California; nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband in September 1978, four brothers, Ernest, Oscar, Ray and Verd; and a sister, Viola.
Services will be 1:30 pm on Friday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C and Sycamore in North Platte with the Reverend Jay Vettyer officiating. Burial will be in the Curtis Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society or the Shriners Crippled Children Hospital Fund.
Odean Colonial Chapel at C and Sycamore in North Platte is in charge of the arrangements.
