Edna Morton Passed
Away at Home

Mrs. Delba (Edna) Morton passed away Thursday, October 14, at the age of 57.

Her health had failed rapidly the last few months. Mrs. Morton lived for many years on a farm south and east of Farnam until recently retiring to live in Eustis.

Funeral services were held in the Eustis Methodist Church Monday, October 17. Rev. Harold O. Massie officiating.

Double male quartet sang, accompanied by Carolyn Johnson. Casket bearers were: Roy Stubblefield, M. J. Mitchell, Roland Lehman, Harold Lehman, Henry Sturgeon and Truman Barrett.

Interment was in the Eustis Town cemetery.

Edna Esther McMichael Morton

Edna Esther was born to Albert and Iva McMichael in Fronther county, Nebr., on October 10, 1903. She passed away at her home in Eustis, Nebraska, October 14, 1960, at the age of 57 years and 4 days.

She spent her childhood and grew up in the Lone Star community south and west of Eustis, she was baptized in the Lone Star Nazarene Church.

On April 14, 1924, Edna was united in marriage to Delba Morton, of Cambridge, Nebr., at St. Joseph, Mo., two sons and three daughters were born to this union. They made their home on the same farm most of their married life.

Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her parents an by an infant daughter, Esther Anna.

Those made sad by her passing are: her husband, Delba of Eustis; her children, Maurice of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Thelma Johnson, of Littleton, Colo., Mrs. Lois Hawley, of San Leandro, Calif., and Cecil of Cambridge; ten grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Emily Frank of Union, Oregon, Mrs. Beulah Russell of Farnam and Mrs. Edith Morton of Canby, Oregon.

Edna was the “Best-natured woman that ever lived.” She loved her family and home. Her main life’s interest was her family.
