Charles E. Davidson

Charles E. Davidson, 81, who had served as cashier of the Park Bank, died Saturday afternoon at a local nursing home. His wife, Mrs. Lillie Goss Davidson, died on the first day of this month. The family home was at 912 South 15th.

Mr. Davidson was born at Holbrook, Neb., and had lived in St. Joseph since 1948. He retired from the bank at age 70 after serving as cashier for 35 years.

Mr. Davidson formerly served as deacon and treasurer of Patee Park Baptist Church. He was an infantry veteran of World War I and was a member of MacDonald-Dugger-Duncan American Legion Post.

His survivors include two stepsons, Carl M. Goss, Overland Park, Kan., and the Rev. Elmer L. Goss, Columbia, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Paul (Mildred) Higginbotham, Higdon, Ark.; a brother, William M. Davidson, Hastings, Neb.; two sisters, Miss Lucy Davidson, Hastings, and Mrs. Mabel Knoedler, Saginaw, Mich.; six stepgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
