Services for
Lloyd Cole Are
At Grand Island

Lloyd Cole of 1318 West 8th Street, Grand Island, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 17, 1974, at a Grand Island hospital. Born April 3, 1917, at Prosser, Nebraska, he was 57.

Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, and burial with full military rites was in Westlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Cole was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Cole. He attended schools at Doniphan and Farnam, Neb., graduating from Farnam High School in 1934. In August of 1939, he enlisted in the United States Navy, and served overseas before his honorable discharge in 1945.

On Sept. 22, 1948, he was married to Ann Spurgetis at Fremont, Neb., and the couple made their home in Overton before moving to Grand Island, where he was employed by the City Utilities Department as a water consultant.

Mr. Cole was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Order of Ahepa, Eagles, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Liederkranz Society.

Survivors include his wife, Ann, of Grand Island; two daughters, Sherry and Terry Cole, both of Lincoln; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Cole of Grand Island; three brothers: Dale, of North Palm Beach, Florida; Kenneth, of Denver, Colo., and Jack of Rapid City, S. D.; and one sister, Mrs. Jean McNickle, of Manhattan, Kansas.
