Rites Held for Mrs. Ruth Thrasher Monday Morning
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Ruth Thrasher in the Methodist Church, Eustis, Monday, June 18, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. B. H. Hart officiated. Mrs. Lawrence Milgrove of Lexington and Mrs. Kenneth Hall of Kearney sang, “The Saints Shall Wear Robes As The Lilies” and “Beyond the Sunset,” accompanied by Diane Bartruff on the piano. Miss Bartruff also presided at the organ.
Pall bearers were Eugene Grube, Jim Major, Wilber Darnall, Reuben Koch, Herman Fasse and Walter Fasse. Interment was in the Eustis West Cemetery.
Mrs. Ruth Thrasher
Mrs. Ruth Thrasher passed away at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital, June 15, 1956, at the age of 85 years, 1 month and 21 days. The family came to Eustis in December 1911, where she has since made her home. She became suddenly ill June 2nd, and was called from this life two weeks later.
Her husband and an infant daughter preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J. A. Hueftle, Eustis, Nebr., Mrs. A. C. Schlipp, North Platte, Nebr., Mrs. C. G. Viersen, North Platte, Nebr., and Mrs. H. H. Zwink, Lawrence, Kansas, and one sone, Floyd Thrasher, Bellevue, Nebr. Also eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
