OBITUARY
Mrs. Alma Stinnette

Alma J. Brown, daughter of Guilford and Jane Brown, was born near St. Ann, Ill. June 8, 1865 and passed away November 29, 1950 at the age of 85 years five months and 21 days.

At the age of 16 she came to Fillmore county where she made her home with cousins until 1887 when she and Albert Schultz were united in marriage. They later came to Frontier county where they homesteaded southeast of Moorefield. To this union one son was born, who with his father passed away in 1889.

On October 14, 1890, Mrs. Alma Schultz and Garnett S. Stinnette were united in marriage and spent over 54 years of live together. To this union, five children were born.

Mr. and Mrs. Stinnette spent most of their married life in Frontier county and their last home was in Curtis where Mr. Stinnette passed away in 1945. Since that time Mrs. Stinnette had made her home with her children.

When very young she became a Christian and the beautiful life she lived was truly an inspiration to all those with whom she came in contact.

She was a member of of the Baptist Church and at the time of her death she held membership in the Baptist Church of Glendale, Arizona where she spent the winter of 1949.

She lived a wonderful life of sacrifice and service to others and it can be truly said “Tho’ she is dead her good deeds will never die” and will ever live in the hearts of all dear to her.

Survivors include her children: Mrs. M. L. Sweet (Lillie), Curtis; Mrs. Earl Murray (Vesta), Salem, Ore.; Mrs. C. J. Stafford (Zazel), Chugwater, Wyo.; Guy A. of North Platte and Ross G. of Chugwater, Wyo.; three step children Ely C. of Glendale, Arizona; Emmet L. of Bingham, Nebr.; and Mrs. O. C. Kitchen (Della), North Platte; one sister, Mrs. Ella Dempcy of Denver, Colo; and one half brother, Ed Brown of Watseka, Ill. There are twenty grand children and 43 great grand children to mourn her loss also.

Funeral services were held December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Curtis. The Rev. Max Volkmann officiated. Burial was in the Moorefield cemetery.

Singers were Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Pollard, Mrs. Chas. Davis and Mr. David Banks accompanied by Mrs. Jay Rice.

Pall bearers were Fay and Leo Sweet, John McCullough, Tandy, Earl and Myrle Stinnette.
