Guy A. Stinnette
Guy A. Stinnette, 68 of 903 East Fifth Street in North Platte died suddenly at his home Monday afternoon, Jan. 18, 1965. He was born Feb. 17, 1896 in Moorefield, coming to North Platte in 1938 where he hired out to the Union Pacific railroad as a boilermaker helper. He was employed by the city of North Platte in 1955 retiring in 1961.
He served in the United States Army during World War One. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, P. R. Hastings Post No. 163 of the American Legion and the World War One Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; one daughter, Mrs. Lester (Eleanor) Mills of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Ely of Glendale, Ariz. and Ross of Chugwater, Wyo.; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Sweet, Curtis; Mrs. Vesta Murray, San Bernadino, Cal.; Mrs. C. J. Stafford, Wheatland, Wyo.; and Mrs. O. C. Kitchen of North Platte and one grandson.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 22 at the First Methodist Church in North Platte with the Rev. William C. Simmer officiating. Burial was in Fort McPherson National Cemetery with full military honors at graveside.
