Naomi Farris
MURRAY, Ky. — Naomi Farris, 86, of Story Avenue, died at 8 a.m. Monday at West View Nursing Home.
Mrs. Farris was a registered nurse during World War II and retired from Murray-Calloway County Hospital and West View Nursing Home.
She attended Martin’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Bessie Vig of Port Hueneme, Calif., Florence Greenlee of Jesup, Iowa, and Martha Black of Norris City, Ill., and a brother, Clifton Surfus of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh X. Farris, a son, Bedford Ryan Farris, and a sister. Her parents were Samuel Surfus and Hanna Amstutz Surfus.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Murray. Burial will be in Martin’s Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral hom from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
