On February 21, 1996, BESSIE, 88, died in Baltimore after a long struggle with cancer. She is survived by two children, James Vig and Mary Hayhoe; four grandchildren, Tim Vig, Laurie Tescher, Karine Simpson and Kristine Hess; and four great grandchildren, Valerie and Anna Tescher, Connor and Johanna Simpson.

No local services. In lieu of flowers, make memorials to either the American Cancer Society of to a local hospice.
