Mrs. Nellie Brittenham
Word was received here that Mrs. Nellie Brittenham, living several miles north of Moorefield had passed away Monday. We have not learned of the cause of death, however, she had been having heart trouble for several years.
Mrs. Brittenham resided here a short time a few years ago, when her sons, Oliver and Clarence, attended high school here. She is also the mother of Mrs. Dorothy Crawford, of Maxwell.
Funeral services were conducted at Maxwell Wednesday and interment in the Maxwell cemetery.

OBITUARY
Nellie Annis Surber was born on February 19, 1871, near [Maryville] in [Nodaway] county, Missouri and passed away at her home in Maxwell, Nebraska, January [31], 1933. Age, 61 years, 10 months and [19] days.
At the age of six years she moved with her parents to Nuckolls county, where Nellie spent the remainder of her girlhood. After the death of her mother, she went to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Oliver Miller, in Blue Springs, Nebr.
She was united in marriage to Lorenzo S. Brittenham on February 4, 1895, and they were the parents of seven children. The family moved to a homestead, north of Moorefield, in Lincoln county in the spring of 1901 and Mrs. Brittenham lived their until four years ago when she moved to Maxwell.
Mr. Brittenham died three years ago.
The surviving children are Mrs. Hazel Corroll of Brady, Mrs. Clara Grandstaff of Maxwell, Jake Brittenham of Moorefield, Oliver Brittenham of Brady, Mrs. Dorothy Crawford and Clarence Brittenham, both of Maxwell, and other relatives including twenty-two grandchildren, a step-mother, four half sisters and two half-brothers.
The funeral service was held at the Maxwell Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 1, with Rev. E. D. Forssell in charge and Rev. P. R. Stevens of the Christian church at North Platte preached the sermon.
Interment was in the Plainview cemetery at Maxwell.
