O. L. ‘Jim’ Brittenham

BRADY — O. L. “Jim” Brittenham, 76, of Brady, died Saturday at a Gothenburg hospital. He farmed and ranched in the Brady area most of his life. He was a charter member of the Brady Lions Club and a 50-year member of the Brady United Methodist Church.

He was born March 13, 1907 in Curtis.

He is survived by his wife, Neva; one son, Dean of Lyons, Colo.; one daughter, Molly (Mrs. Paul) Rundle of New Jersey; two brothers, Pat and Jake, both of Maxwell; one sister, Clara Grandstaff, also of Maxwell; five grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Brady with the Rev. Alex Peterson officiating. Music was by Larry Viter and Mrs. Louis Clymer.

Active pallbearers were Steve and Greg Brittenham, Dean, Don and Doug Rundle and Elmo Cromer. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Craig, John Weber, Rich Peckham, Miles McCullough, Harold Blede, Joe Bratten, Larry Kracman, George Herman, Del Martin, Harlan Liljestrand and Joe Norris. Burial was in the Brady Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the church or to the Brady Lions Club.

McVay Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
