G. A. Fenton Dies at Home
Had Been in Ill Health About 8 Months
George A. Fenton was born in Boone county, Missouri in 1861 and came with his parents to Stockville, Nebr., in 1879. He passed away at his home south of Moorefield, July 3, after an illness of about eight months, at the age of 84 years, 6 months and 3 days.
He was married to Anna B. Walther October 21, 1891. To this union were born four children, Harry of Moorefield, Mrs. Lillie Phillips of Fetters Hot Springs, Calif., Mrs. Hazel Knisley of Redwood Falls, Minn., and Vern, who died 20 years ago.
There are 16 grand children and five great grand children. He also has 3 sisters and 3 brothers living, Mrs. Bertha Reed and Mrs. Letha Marcellus of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Alma McClintock of Brighton, Ia., E. H. Fenton of Kennett, Missouri, Claude Fenton of Bisbee, N. D., and Ross Fenton of San Francisco.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6, at Moorefield with Rev. E. E. Giesler officiating. Burial was in the Moorefield cemetery.
