Charles Henry Lampman
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:00 for Charles H. Lampman, at the home of his son, Roy, southeast of town. The services were in charge of Rev. S. McKeown, pastor of the Farnam Methodist church. Following the service the remains were taken to Culbertson for burial.
Mr. Lampman came here about two weeks ago from Wyoming, hoping the change in the climate would benefit his health, but to no avail.
Charles Henry Lampman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barzella W. Lampman was born October 24, 1862 in the state of New York, and died at the home of his son at Eustis, Nebraska, July 19, 1937. Age 74 years, 8 months and 24 days. In 1886 he married Flora Emmaline Pierce of Culbertson, Nebraska, and to this union eight children were born: William B., of Alcora, Wyo.; Chester M., of Glenrock, Wyo., Roy of Eustis, Nebr.; Henry of Torrington, Wyo.; Walter, Ned and John of Alcora, Wyo. These children, with a sister, Mrs. Floyd Knight of Alcora, and 13 grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends are left to mourn his going. Mrs. Lampman died June 10, 1916.
Mr. Lampman was a member of the Methodist church. He made and retained many friends. A loving father has gone to be with his Lord.
