Dwight Delbert Stebbins

Dwight Delbert Stebbins, son of Milton D. and Allie Stebbins, was born on December 8, 1893, at Farnam, Nebraska; and passed away at the Veteran’s Hospital in Grand Island, April 10, 1953, at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 2 days.

In June of 1917 he was married to Vlasta Nebuda of West Point, Nebraska, who passed away in September of 1920. To this union was born one child, Marjory Ann, who died in infancy. Later he married Maud Eberly of Octavia, Nebraska.

He served two and one half years with the Rainbow Division in the Field Hospital Corps of World War I. His father and baby brother preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Maud Stebbins of Gothenburg; his mother, Mrs. Allie Stebbins of Farnam; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Williams of Potter and Miss Opal Stebbins of Farnam; one brother William Stebbins of San Jose, California; two neices and one nephew, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 13, 1953 from the McVay Funeral Home to Methodist Church, Gothenburg, with a group of local legion members attending. Rev. B. H. Hart officiated. Interment in the Edholm cemetery near Schuyler.
