Obituary

Charles F. Schultz, son of Charles and Minnie Schultz, was born July 23, 1885, in Seward county, Nebr., and passed away July 19, 1944, at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 9 days, at a Gothenburg hospital following an illness of several years duration.

At the age of five years he moved with his parents to Eustis where he grew to manhood. He was baptized in infancy and later confirmed in the Lutheran church.

September 17, 1913, he was united in marriage to Miss Goldie Cooley at Lexington. To this union eleven children were born, five daughters and six sons, all of whom survive.

Their married life has been spent in Dawson county, having farmed for ten years in the valley, eight years northeast of Eustis adn thirteen years northeast of Farnam, their present home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Goldie Schultz; his eleven children, Charles, Alvin and Dorothy of Los Angeles, Calif., Harold, Robert, William, Roger, Evalyn, Betty at home; Mrs. Helen Lindstedt of Gothenburg, Mrs. Eleanor Beery of Louisville, Ky.; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Schultz; three brothers, William, Ferdinand and Otto; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Wussler, Mrs. Mary Lierhman, Mrs. Adeline Johnson, Mrs. Elsie Hilker, Mrs. Freda Lawbon; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Olesen mortuary in Gothenburg to the Evangelical church in Eustis, conducted by Rev. Vance.

Mr. and Mrs. John Hueftle, Miss Wilhelmina Vance and Ernest Schroeder furnished the music, accompanied by Mrs. Doyle Hayes on the piano. Burial was at Elwood.

Serving as pallbearers were Pone McKee, Henry Nordin, John Koch, Joe Ringenberg, George Ringenberg adn Jim Baer.
