Dorothy L. Rinke
Services for Dorothy L. Rinke, 60, of North Platte are pending at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rinke died Saturday at the North Platte hospital. She was born July 7, 1930, at Kimball to Elwood and Lillian Stephens Brown.
She attended schools at Farnam where she graduated from high school in 1948. She taught country school at Oconto. She married Alois Rinke July 18, 1953, at Grand Island.
The couple came to North Platte in 1961 and Mrs. Rinke was employed at NBC Computer Center until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Eagles and American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Survivors include her husband, Alois, of North Platte; her mother, Lillian Brown of Farnam; two sons, Robert and wife Connie Rinke of North Platte, and James and wife Susie Rinke of Sutherland; two daughters, Mary (Mrs. Jerry) Long of Lexington, and Debra Florom of North Platte; five brothers, Robert and Carl Brown of Des Moines, Kenneth Brown of Hemingford, Thomas Brown of New York City and Vernon Brown of South Sioux City; three sisters, Lillian Anne (Mrs. Virgil) Dishman of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Rosie (Mrs. Kenneth) Kostman of Cozad and Juanita (Mrs. Boyd) Lynch of Farnam; and 12 grandchildren.
Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
