Final Call To Mrs. Arthur Clouatre Came On Friday
Gothenburg Mother Passed Away At Hospital After A Week’s Illness.
Mrs. Arthur (Mary) Clouatre was born May 17, 1881 in North Stanbridge, Quebec, Canada, and passed away November 16, 1956 at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital at the age of 75 years and 5 months. She is survived by her husband, Arthur, and three children, all living: Armand Clouatre and Mrs. R. R. Aden of Gothenburg and Arsene Clouatre of Virginia City, Nevada and 5 grand children.
Mrs. Clouatre was married Jan. 20, 1901 to Arthur Clouatre in Canada. In Oct., 1912, they moved on a farm in western Nebraska, then south of Gothenburg, where they lived for 13 years before moving to Gothenburg in 1930.
She was a faithful member of the Catholic Church all her life. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be missed by her loved ones and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Nov. 20th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church. Rosary was held at McVay Funeral home Monday night at 8:00, Father Gorak officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Aimie Guerin, Syrias Guerin, LeRoy Gaudreault, Felix Clouatre, Armond Methe, and Louie Gaudreault. Interment was in the Gothenburg cemetery. McVays in charge of arrangements.
