Chester A. Smallfoot, 82, of 603 E. 10th St., died Friday in a North Platte nursing home. He was born Aug. 27, 1903, in Dunbar, to August and Minnie Salsow Smallfoot.

He moved with his parents to Farnam at the age of 17. He was married to Aleen B. Collins on Feb. 26, 1930, in North Platte. Mr. Smallfoot farmed until 1950, when he moved to North Platte, and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 1968. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ronald L., of Pueblo, Colo.; a daughter, Jacqueline (Mrs. Allen) Boyer of North Platte; a sister, Evelyn Hazen of Gothenburg; a friend, Sharon Fisher; six grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Tabler Memorial Chapel with the Rev. G. Van Boening officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Cemetery. A memorial will be established.
