May E. Smallfoot
GOTHENBURG — May E. Smallfoot, 90, of Gothenburg died March 31, 1997, at Hilltop Estates.
She was born July 3, 1906, at Farnam to Will and Minnie Mosley Murray.
She worked at the Oasis Cafe, the Dixie Cafe, the City Cafe, the Platte Hotel and Buffalo Cafe, all in Gothenburg.
She married Earl A. Smallfoot Sept. 2, 1925, at Lexington. She was a friend to everyone, a loving mother and grandmother to her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth (Earl) Miller of Gothenburg; a son, Dale (Florence) Smallfoot of Portsmouth, Va.; a sister, Edna Peterson of Brady; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband on Aug. 31, 1979; a daughter, Ruby Fox; a son, Dean; her parents; three brothers, Leo, Merle, and Burr; and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial has been established.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Blase Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Viter officiating. Burial will be in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Blase Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.
