Obituary Collection
Amil F. Johnson and Son

Amil F. H. Johnson was born on Sept. 2, 1884 at Bertrand, Nebraska and was killed in an auto accident near his home southwest of Farnam on August 10th, 1926. Age 41 years 11 months and 8 days.

He grew to manhood at the place of his birth, and on July 25, 1908 he was united in marriage to Miss Judith Louise Isaacson also of Bertrand: To this union 13 children were born, 10 of whom survive their father. Two having died in infancy and the other was killed in the same accident with his father.

He leaves to mourn his death, his faithful and loving wife, ten children, his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson of Bertrnad; four brothers, Carl I. T., John S. W. and Fred Johnson all of Bertrand and August A. W. Johnson of Elsie, Nebr. His father and one brother having preceeded him in death.

He moved his family here in 1919 settling on the farm where they now live.

He was a faithful member of the Swedish Lutheran church of Bertrand. He was a kind and loving father, and a sincere friend and neighbor.

Amel Nevin David Johnson was born on November 17, 1920 near Farnam, Nebraska and was killed in an auto accident near his home on Tuesday, August 10, 1926. Age 5 years, 9 months and 23 days.

He was a lovable little lad, and his vacant place in the home can never be filled. Just another incident where grim death, deprives a loving mother of one of her precious jewels.

He leaves to mourn his going, his mother and 10 brothers and sisters, beside a host of other relatives and little friends.

Funeral services were held from the home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. J. E. Craig of the Congregational church officiating. The two bodies were shipped to Bertrand for burial.

We extend our sympathy and help to the family in their sorrow and loss but God alone, can sustain them in their grief, and heal the deep wounds of their sorrow.
