Mrs. Wm. Bick died very suddenly on Monday at Goehner from heart trouble.

Amanda Pendell was born in McDonald county Ill., Oct. 16, 1863, and moved to Seward county with her parents at the age of 15 years. She was married to Wm. Bick July 4, 1883, and to this union were born nine children, Bert and Roy Bick of Farnam, Nebr.; Arthur Bick of Norfork [sic]; Chester, Lucille, and Virgil Bick of Goehner; Mrs. Bert Balser, Mrs. Chris. Gaibler and Mrs. Ed Rieker, all of Farnam. Also surviving are two sisters and a brother.

Mrs. Bick was a loving wife and mother, devoted to home interests, yet loyal to community and church.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the M. E. church in this city by Rev. L. L. Gaiter. Interment was in the north cemetery.

Her husband was unable to attend the funeral, being under the doctor’s care.—Seward Independent Democrat.
