Edith M. Scrutchfield. 79, died Monday, Nov. 27, 1988, at Cozad. She was born Nov. 15, 1909, at Farnam to Roy and Nellie (Hunt) Boyle. She grew up on farms at Farnam and Cozad and was married to Roy Scrutchfield Aug. 15, 1927. She had made her home in Cozad since 1934.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Sarah Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include seven brothers, Albert and Ernest Boyle of Powell, Wyo., Frank of San Francisco, Raymond of San Bernardino, Calif., Gene of Arizona,and Cecil and Lawrence; a sister, Mary Malliot of Powell, Wyo.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, a brother and two sisters.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad with the Rev. Roger Eschiliman officiating. Burial will be in the Cozad Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established to the church.
