Donald E. Reed, 65, Neosho, died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Freeman West Hospital, following a lengthy, courageous battle, with his family by his side.

He was born February 22, 1946, in San Diego, California, to Henry and Emma (Prohoska) Reed.

Mr. Reed moved to Missouri in the 1960's from Oregon. He was a navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was an over-the-road truck driver. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Donald and Kathryn May Murray were married February 21, 1964, in Medford, Oregon. Kathryn preceded him in death January 9, 2002.

He is survived by a son, James Reed and wife, Trish, Neosho, MO; three daughters, Teresa Valdivieso, Burbank, CA, Linda Coe, Neosho, and Tammy Eads and husband, Kevin, Neosho; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Lake, Elizabeth, Josh and Carol Coe, Chantel Valdivieso, Shelby and Tyler Eads, Billy Vaughan, Cathy Carr, Michael and Amber Marn; two great-grandchildren, Lillian Lake and Clayton Carr; a brother, David Reed and wife, Anita, Neosho, MO; two sisters, Kathy Hill, Neosho, MO, and Sharon Welsheimer and husband, Richard, Hermiston; two sisters-in-law, Katie Stanek and Charlene Stanek; a special aunt, Edna Peterson; his caregiver, Frances Peterson; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Services will be held Wednesday November 23, 2011, 1:00 pm at Clark Chapel of Memories
