Judith DuBry
Judith Elaine DuBry, 69, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died July 20, 2016 in Kearney, NE.
She was born June 24, 1947 in Fort Washakie, WY, daughter of Charles Henry and Isabelle (Erickson) Murphy. She grew up on the Shoshone Indian Reservation. She attended Crow Heart country school and graduated from Riverton High School in 1965. Judy married William "Willie" DuBry on July 25, 1967 at Cody, WY. Judy raised her children in Wyoming and Nebraska. Willie and Judy lived in Farnam, NE for many years and in 2010, Judy moved to Gothenburg.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing and anything out doors. Judy found joy in feeding the animals, especially the squirrels and birds. She enjoyed being a caregiver, from working in the church nursery to helping her neighbors. Her grandchildren were very important to her, she tried to attend any and all their activities she could. She was a member of Victory Assembly of God. She lived her last few years at Hillcrest where she enjoyed spending time with her many friend doing puzzles, Bible study, exercises and other activities.
She is survived by five sons, Don (Collen) DuBry of North Platte, NE, David DuBry of North Platte, NE, Danny DuBry of North Platte, NE, Darell DuBry of Lincoln, NE, Doug (Kristen) DuBry of Kearney, NE; two daughters, Lizlie (Jerry) Garcia of Utica, NE, Loretta (James) Smith of Gothenburg, NE; many grandchildren, and great grandchildren; five brothers, Raymond Murphy, David Murphy, Gary Murphy, Jesse Murphy, Louis Murphy; along with numerous extended family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by husband, William "Willie" DuBry, infant daughter, Teressa Marie DuBry, parents Charles Henry and Isabelle Murphy, brothers, Richard Murphy and Chester Murphy, sisters, Carol Sue Ostertag, Virginia Madman, Thelma Mollman, and Marjorie Fancher.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Monday, July 25, 2016, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from5:00-7:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held at Victory Assembly of God, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 10:00 am with Pastor Mark Borchardt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
