John Donelson died at Medford, Ore., April 27, 1939 at the home of his son, R. J. Donelson. They having moved recently to Medford from Seattle, Wash. He was 89 years 7 months and 9 days of age.

He was born in Sweden, on Sept. 18, 1849 and camd to the United States in 1873, living a few years in Illinois and Iowa and coming to Nebraska in 1887 living in and near Farnam and Gothenburg for thirty-two years. In 1924 he went to Wisconsin, where he made his home with his son, Roy, and in 1936 he went to Seattle.

His wife and two daughters preceded him. Six sons: H. A. of Lexington; B. A. of North Platte; V. C. of Holdrege; Lester of Clarinda, Ia., Percy of Bothell, Wash.; R. J. of Medford, Ore.; and one daughter, Mrs. Lily Oman of Bakersfield, Calif.

Funeral services were held at Conger chapel Saturday afternoon, at two o’clock with interment in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
