Rachael Kunkel was born in Knox County, Ohio Oct. 25, 1849 and died at the home of her daughter near Orafino, Frontier County, Nebraska, Jan. 30, 1926, age 76 years, 3 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to William F. Beery Nov. 10, 1867. To this union five daughters were born.

In 1884 they moved to Frontier Co., Nebraska, which has been her home until her death. Mr. Beery died Febr. 21, 1909.

She leaves to mourn their loss her five daughters, Mrs. Martha Lovina Hicks of Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Effie Savilla Phelps of Rosalia, Wash.; Mrs. Joanna Hounod of Joliet, Mont.; Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Adkins of Hyder, Alaska, and Mrs. Sarah Isabelle Miller of Orafino, Nebr., and a host of other relatives and friends.

The last few months of her life, she [lived with] Mrs. Miller, and there she passed away after a short illness.

Early in life she confessed Christ as her Saviour and united with the Brethern in Christ, church. She was faithful to her Saviour and ready to do all she could for the church and all worthy causes.

The funeral servicws were held at the Orafino Evangelical church on Wednesday, Febr. 3 at 1: o’clock, and the body was laid to rest in the Denny Cemetery. Rev. I. L. Kennedy conducted the funeral service.
