H. O. Peterman
Howard Oliver Peterman, 68, of 516 S. Salinas St., died yesterday in a local hospital after a short illness.
Born in Almira, Wash., Feb. 4, 1898, he came to California in 1919. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. In Santa Barbara, he operated Howard’s Strength and Health Club and a car polishing service.
He was a charter member of a congregation which is now the Cathedral Oaks Christian Church. He married Anna M. Lydic in Farnam, Neb., June 14, 1952.
He leaves his wife and his mother, Mrs. Louisa Smith of Selma.
Services will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow in the Welch Ryce Associates chapel, with the Rev. Karl W. Tuttle officiating. Burial will be in the Santa Barbara Cemetery.
Friends may remember the Robert Flores family, missionaries to Mexico, care of Mrs. Kathleen Blades, 332 La Marina Dr.
