KEARNEY — Luella Baxter, 84, of 2010 14th Ave., died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at St. John’s Good Samaritan Center in Kearney.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at O’Brien-Straatmann-Apfel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Wine officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Stockville Cemetery in Stockville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

She was born Feb. 19, 1914, to Martin and Ethel Babcock of Farnam.

On Dec. 19, 1934, she married Eugene Baxter of Oberlin, Kan. She lived in Stockville before moving to Kearney. She worked with her husband as office manager for Interstate Stations. After retiring, she worked with her husband at Baxter Auto Repair.

She is survived by her husband; son Dudley, Grand Island; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
