Violett Lucille Pinkerton

POWELL, Wyo. — Violett Lucille Pinkerton farmed with her husband southeast of Powell from 1935 until 1968, then lived in Powell and Cody. She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Pinkerton, 78, died Thursday morning in West Park County Hospital, Cody.

She was born at Farnam, Neb., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin V. Babcock. She married Harold Pinkerton in 1931 in North Platte, Neb. He died in 1968.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Baxter and Mrs. Dora Davison, both of Powell, and Mrs. Luella Baxter of Kearney, Neb.; an adopted daughter, June Gorton of Pleastantville, Ore.; six nieces and five nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Powell with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Easton Funeral Home is in charge.
