FILER — Mrs. Bessie E. Gardner, 92, Filer, died this morning at Magic Valley Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Born March 19, 1883, in Ohio, she married Floyd Gardner Nov. 18, 1907. He died Jan. 1, 1954.

They moved to Idaho in 1946 from Seattle, Wash., lived in Jerome and the past 18 years Mrs. Gardner had lived in Filer.

She was a member of the Filer Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hubert Marquardt, Lexington, Neb., and Mrs. Earl Handley, Seattle; two sons, Fred Gardner, Filer, and Gilbert Gardner, Seattle; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Burchell, Minden, Neb., Mrs. [Mae Litchenberg], Gothenburg, Neb., and Mrs. Dora Whitney, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gardner will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at White Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Roy Watson. Burial will be in the Filer IOOF Cemetery.
