Lester Kitchen Dies
Lester Charles Kitchen, son of Jacob B. Kitchen and Mary Hacker, was born at Humboldt, Nebraska, March 19, 1881, and died at Curtis April 9, 1952, at the age of 71 years and 30 day.s
He moved to Farnam with his parents in 1889 and grew to manhood in this community.
August 19, 1904, at Farnam he was united in marriage with Cora Gilson and to this union two daughters were born.
He united with the Methodist church when a young man and is a member of the Curtis church.
He and his wife moved to Curtis in 1935 and for the past ten years had been employed at the Co-Op Oil Co.
He was a member of Odd Fellow lodge at Curtis.
His wife preceded him in death in May, 1949.
He leaves to mourn his death two daughters, Margaret Stewart and Helen Larsen of Curtis, one grandson Gary Lee Larsen, one brother, Omar Kitchen of North Platte and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Faulkes of Los Angeles and Mrs. Adah Puderbaugh of Graibale, Oregon, besides a number of neices and nephews and a host of friends. He was an uncle to Chas. Pollard and Mrs. George Tillotson of Farnam.
Funeral services were held in the Curtis Methodist church Saturday afternoon and interment was at Curtis.
