Emery Tillotson

Emery Alfred Tillotson, 51, Route 2, Gering, died Friday at a Scottsbluff hospital after a year’s illness. Arrangements for services are incomplete and will be announced later by the Boley-Dennis Funeral Home at Gering.

Mr. Tillotson was born Nov. 25, 1901 at Farnam, Nebr. He lived there until entering the Navy in 1919. He received his discharge in 1921. On May 9, 1924 at Norton, Kan. he was married to Mary Ellen Hulbert, who survives. They moved to Gering the year of their marriage and to a farm in 1925. He was a member of the Cedar Valley chapel.

Besides his widow, surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Hinman, 2302 Avenue H, Scottsbluff, Mrs. Alex Marsh, Route 1, Gering, and Mrs. Robert Maupin, Route 2, Gering; 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Leroy M. and George F., both of Farnam, Leon O. of North Platte, and Clayton J. or Cheyenne; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Britton of Farnam.
