Mrs. Chas. P. Moyer Dies
Myrtle Lenora (Quick) Moyer
Mrs. Myrtle Lenora Moyer, widow of the late Charles P. Moyer, who passed away only three weeks ago, died Friday, October 22, at her home in Lancaster, Calif. She was 76 years of age and had been in ill health for a year.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Community Methodist church with Rev. Fay H. Priece officiating. Interment was at the Forest Lawn memorial park cemetery at Glendale.
Born in Raritan, Ilinois on July 2, 1871, she was a daughter of Lorenzo and Mary Emaline Quick. She was married to Horace B. Hicks at Gothenburg, Nebr., on October 12, 1890. At one time they operated a newspaper plant in Farnam. Two children were born to this union; Gilbert I. Hicks of San Gabriel, Calif., and Lila Hicks Stebbins of Lancaster.
In a second marriage the deceased was united to Charles P. Moyer on January 19, 1910, at Lincoln, Nebr. A son Charles Donald of Lancaster was born to them.
Surviving besides her three children, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren are two sisters, Mrs. J. Barr of Rosamond, Calif., and Mrs. A.S. Moore of North Hollywood, Calif.
