Pearl Harrison

Pearl M. Harrison, 80, of 3809 Husker Highway died Tuesday at a local nursing home.

Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Gollaher Chapel in Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Doran officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3-9 p.m. at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the church.

Mrs. Harrison was born Feb. 19, 1901, at Farnam, the daughter of Millard and Margaret Clemens Johnson. She received her education in Farnam public schools. She also attended Kearney State Teachers College. She returned to Nebraska and taught school near Gothenburg and later at Phillips.

She married William L. Harrison on Oct. 2, 1922, in Grand Island. They lived in Hamilton County until 1939 when they moved to Hall County.

Mrs. Harrison was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors of America. She also was affiliated with extension clubs in Hamilton and Hall counties.

Surivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Obermeier of Grand Island and Mrs. C. E. (Winifred) Swanson of North Platte; a son, Philip of Grand Island, four grandchildren and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
