Kotschwar Rites Held Sunday
Services Held at M. E. Church Here; Burial at Maywood
Funeral services for William Kotschwar, who died last Wednesday, were held Sunday at the Methodist church in Curtis in charge of Reverend H. C. Johnson. Interment was in Maywood cemetery, with the Maywood American Legion post conducting the services at the grave.
Mr. Kotschwar was the son of Anton and Johanna Kotschwar, born at Maywood, March 27, 1893. At the time of his death he had reached the age of 48 years and five days.
He was married to Viola White at McCook, Nebr., April 29, 1922. Thirteen children were born to this union, three dying in infancy.
He was a World War veteran, having enlisted in the army at Stockville May 28, 1918, serving overseas from August 24, 1918 to January 31, 1919.
Survivors include his father, wife, and ten children: Gladys, Betty, Clyde, Leon, Anton, Viola, Mabel, Alice, Glen and Marian; six brothers, Anton, Joe and Fred of McCook, Leo of Hayes Center, John of Maywood and Gus of Curtis; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Gardner of Curtis, Mrs. Anna Meisner of Quick and Mrs. Ben McQuillan of California.
