Dr. George W. Ainlay, 74, of Santa Monica, Calif., died there Wednesday. He was born Oct. 18, 1895 in Farnam, and was a retired doctor.

Dr. Ainlay grew up in the Farnam area and served in World War Two as a doctor with the Army Medical Corps, retiring from the Army as a colonel. He was a doctor in Santa Monica before retiring a few years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; two sons, Dr. William, Santa Monica, Calif. and John, California; one daughter, Patricia Moore, Texas; one brother, John, Chicago, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Harold Mackey, North Platte.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Ft. McPherson National Cemetery with the Rev. Thom A. B. Ditton, of St. Christopher’s Episocpal Church of Cozad, officiating.

The body will arrive in North Platte late Saturday evening. Adamsm and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
