OBITUARY
Mrs. Lula May McNickle was born November 15, 1881, and died February 22, 1952, at the age of 70 year, 3 months and 14 days. She was preceded in death by her husband in April 1949 and by a son, Lionel, who passed away at birth.
She leaves to mourn five children, Mrs. Charles Jensen of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Leland Compton of Coffeeville, Kansas, Mrs. J. A. Ainlay of Evanston, Illinois, Rodney S. McNickle of Seattle and Turner of York, Nebraska.
One sister and three brothers survive, Mrs. W. R. Fitch of Gothenburg, B. J. Ainlay, Belgrade; W. T. of Glendale, California, and H. L. of Los Angeles. Her sisters, Elle, Rachael, Effie, Phoebe and Mary, and brothers Charles, William and Everett preceded her in death.
Her parents came to Nance county, Nebraska, from Ainlayville, Canada, now called Brussels, in 1877, where she was born. In 1890 the family moved to a farm one mile west of Farnam.
She and Harry T. McNickle were united in marriage on January 1, 1903, at Farnam, where they resided on a farm for many years. Later they moved to Seattle, Washington, in 1942. She passed away in the home of her daughter in Evanston.
Funeral services and interment were in Seattle March 4. Pallbearers were Arthur McNickle, Claude David, Max E. Riggs, Carl Jones, Dwight Freeman and Loren Fitch.
