Mrs. Jim Harry Funeral

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Jim Harry at Moorefield. She was 89 years of age and had been a resident of that community for sixty years.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Jack Funk and Mrs. Ada Thomalla of Farnam, and two sons, Charles of Moorefield and Everett of St. Louis. She was a grandmother to Mrs. Elvin Piersol of Farnam.

Farnam relatives attended the services, which were held in the Community church, with burial in the Moorefield cemetery.

As Naomi Lapp she was born at White City, Ill., December 17, 1858, and died July 5, 1948, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was the third child of a family of six children.

When just a girl she moved with her parents to Cherry-Box, Shelby county, Missouri. There on March 6, 1881, she was married to James Harry. They celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this year.

To their union were born eight children, four of whom preceded their mother in death.

In 1882 they moved to Ayr, Nebraska, and in 1884 to a farm eight miles south of Farnam in Frontier county. Then in 1890 to the farm three miles southeast of Moorefield where they have since made their home.

She was baptized into the Church of the Brethren in 1880 and remained faithful to her belief during her entire life.

The sympathy of the entire neighborhood is extended to the bereaved family.
