Minnie W. (Hoffman) Oman
Minnie Hoffman was born in Sweden on November 17, 1858 and departed this life on March 3, 1927, aged 68 years, 3 months, and 16 days.
At the age of 12 years she came to the United States, with her parents, locating in Hickory County, Missouri.
On March 19, 1881, whe was united in marriage to Wm. Oman. To this union five sons were born: Otto Wm. Oman; Albert Eric and Victor P. Oman of Farnam; Oscar Charles and Lester E. Oman of Gothenburg, Nebraska.
Mrs. Oman was converted early in life and was always happy in her Christian faith. She was united with the Swedish Baptist Church of Gothenburg in 1891 and was a faithful member until the end.
For a number of years, Mrs. Oman has been gradually failing in health, and the past four months, she has been confined to her bed, but so patient, mid all her suffering, forgetting self, and thinking only of others.
All that loving hands could do was no avail. Surrounded by loved ones, and with perfect trust in God, she answered the summons, which called her from earthly pains and sorrows on March 3rd.
She leaves to mourn her departure her faithful and loving husband, Wm. Oman; five sons, with their wives, seven grandchildren, one brother besides other relatives and a host of loving friends and neighbors.
Burial was in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
