McNICKLE—Ruth Dawson Harris, age 85 yrs. of North Platte, NE. Former Omaha resident. She was born Dec. 15, 1897 in Farnam, NE, the daughter of John V. and Ida McCabe Dawson. She graduated from Farnam High School and attended Teachers College in Curtis teaching in Curtis, Eustis, Ansley, and Moorefield. She married Lester L. Harris in Farnam in 1922 and they lived in Omaha until he predeceased her in 1942. Their surviving children are Mrs. Ida R. Wesslund of North Platte, Mrs. Frances H. Kevil, Modesto, CA, Mrs. Doris H. Kramish of Evanston, IL, and Mr. James A. Harris, Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by infant twins, Willa June and John William. In 1952 she was married to Harvey R. McNickle and lived on the McNickle homestead in Farnam until his death in 1965. For the past few years she has been a resident of North Platte and was a member of the Gothenburg Methodist Church. She bears 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Farnam, NE Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice. FUNERAL SERVICES were held Mon. Feb. 20, 1984 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
