Glen "Pete" Mangus

FARNAM — Services for Glen "Pete" Mangus will be today 10 a.m. at the Lockenouer-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with the Rev. Andy Kwankin officiating. Burial will be in the Bartley Cemetery with military honors graveside.

Mr. Mangus, 96, died July 18, 1991, at the veterans’ hospital in Grand Island.

He was born July 18, 1895, in Bartley to John D. and Della Kerst Mangus. A World War I veteran, serving with the U.S. Army, Mr. Mangus was a lifetime member of the VFW and member of the American Legion 288, both of Farnam.

Survivors include a sister, Gail Stickell of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were six sisters, Bernice Walters, Zola Hoppe, Ercie DeArmond, Fern Vinckle, Marvel Cramer and Frances Venhouse.

A memorial has been established.

Lockenouer-Jones Mortuary of Cambridge is in charge of arrangements.
